Stitch Explanation
sc2tog: (Insert hook in next st and draw up a loop) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook (1 st decreased)
Technique Explanations
Magic Ring: Wrap yarn around index finger. Insert hook into ring on finger, yarn over and draw up a loop. Carefully slip ring from finger and work the sts of Rnd 1 into the ring.
Invisible Join: After working last st of rnd, drop loop from hook. Insert hook from WS to RS in first st of rnd and pull up a loop. Ch 1. From RS, continue with next instruction.

Finishing
- Sew Head to neck opening of Body using tail.
- Embroider curves above and below safety eyes using A.
- Use black floss to embroider mouth and nostrils with straight stitches.
- With C, embroider short straight lines on top of Head.
- Sew Front Legs to sides between Rnds 14–16, about 5 sts from neck.
- Sew Back Legs to sides between Rnds 14–16, about 6 sts behind Front Legs.
- Sew Tail to back of Body, between Rnds 14–16, centered between Back Legs.
- Embroider Shell detailing using C in small back stitches.
- Weave in all ends.
