Assembly

Use flat sl st join to connect the motifs together. Work through the back loops only and keep working yarn on the WS to create a flat seam visible as a chain on the RS. Match the letters from the diagram to join the motifs correctly.

Strap

Use self-striping yarn for the strap. Let the colors change naturally.

Ch 9.

1st row (RS): 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch to end. Turn. (8 sc)

2nd row: Ch 1, 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.

Repeat 2nd row until the strap measures 18″ (45.5 cm). Fasten off.

Whipstitch each end of strap to a corner (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) of two top motifs at the bag’s opening. Weave in all ends.

This beautiful bag is sturdy and colorful, perfect for daily use or gifting!
